About Me

Artist statement:

Throughout my childhood, I loved being creative and multifaceted.  I enjoyed creating artwork in various mediums, but overtime focused more on oil painting. Apart from oils, I currently enjoy working with digital drawing. When it comes to the subject of my work, my inspiration stems from my connection to the metaphysical perspectives of life with a keen focus on the human form and what living the human experience through a spiritual lens means to me. A majority of my work is done in realism with themes of healing and the unseen. When asked to describe the visualization of my art, I would describe it as my means of expressing what I would consider to be my ‘inner world’. To express my truth and how I view humanity’s current journey in this world. Telling a story or message that resonates with the right audience is an important component in finding motivation to create artwork that holds significant meaning both to me and the viewer. Despite my spontaneous ‘inner world’, I prioritize balance and practicality when it comes all aspects of my life.  Like many artists, art has always helped me put my ideas and thoughts into the world when words couldn't. It gave me the freedom to explore different aspects of myself and question the ways I view the world around me. Art has always served as a form of catharsis for me to alchemize the chaotic and passionate energy as a form of self-empowerment. It has always been one of my main sources of finding hope in dark times and has become one of my greatest strengths. When creating the kind of artwork I make, I feel that I’m expressing a truth that can be understood universally, therefore not being limited to lingual and religious barriers. For me, each artwork is a page that can’t be contained by the covers of a novel. Each artwork tells it's own story, whether by its visuals or the thoughts and emotions they may spark within every viewer.

Human Rights Initiative:

Women’s Reproductive Rights and Lgbtqia+ Rights:

In response to the recent harmful laws regarding transgender rights and all members of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as the restriction of abortion rights, 20% of all profits from my shop and my Inprnt shop will be given to the following organizations: TREVOR Project, It Gets Better Project, NARAL Pro-Choice America and the Human Rights Campaign

Free Palestine:

With the on-going genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, I am donating a portion of my sales from Shopify, Inrpnt, and Ko-fi to charities supporting Palestine to keep spreading the message for a ceasefire.

Meet the Artist

Hello fellow art lover, my name is Gabrielle Nicolae, I am a Long Island artist who enjoys making artwork inspired by spiritual perspectives on life. Since childhood, creating art has been essential to my well-being and self-expression. As I grew up, my spirituality and need to express my truth have become the driving forces for why I create the work I make. As I continue to nurture my imagination and skills, I look forward to new creative opportunities and inspiration to share and inspire others with, whether that's artistically or spirituality.
